LBC has some quality presenters, yet many of these numpties would rather chat away on the boards about what Clive Bull mentioned in passing he had for breakfast than think about whats been talked about on Nick Ferrari's show.

LBC was great in the 70s & 80s. The phone ins, jingles.. breakfast with douglas cameron ; monty modlyn on the phone, some bint from sheperds bush complaining about the binmen - adverts for The Hounsditch Warehouse 😃

Great thread!! I mlived in Milton Keynes and remember Chiltern from the start, originally only from Dunstable on 362 metres MW (828 AM) and 97.5 FM (changed to 97.6 sometime after the launch due to interference from LBC on 97.3) The Bedford (Ouse Valley) service started in early 1982, and was from Sandy heath and covered a huge area!!

It speaks ironic volumes that LBC is, somehow, considered the 'least right-wing' of all national UK talk radio stations. I guess JOB, Nicky A, Clive Bull, Natasha Devon and Lewis Goodall must manage to place just enough weight on the left side of the LBC seesaw to prevent it from becoming permanently mired in the diseased, slurry-sodden manure on the right.
