They've got lots of paperwork, new keepers supplement, service history old MOT's, 6 months tax, signed and dated receipt etc. Just weird that it's in daily use and the cops haven't pulled them over..?

On looking at buying a van (private, not business - looking at doing a camper conversion) MOT history on the gov website differs from what the seller says - but he says its because the van had a taco fitted and the mot distances where recorded in KM instead of miles - anyone heard of this?
The existing ‘check the MOT history of a vehicle’ service will be unavailable from 10pm Wednesday 23 September 2015. This will be replaced by a new service which will be available soon. In the meantime, you can check if a vehicle has a current MOT by using the ‘check the MOT status of a vehicle’ service. This discussion has been closed.
This is a really useful if you purchase a second hand car at any time with an MOT (Or check the MOT History of your car back to its first MOT) Not only does it show the DAte of Each MOT and the Mileage of the car (Useful for checking clocking). But it also shows the full history of each MOT, including any reasons for a failure and advisories given.
MOT advisories cyberghost_0Posts: 7Forumite 17 November 2025 at 11:04AMin Motoring hey guys, i dropped my car (2009 1.3L diesel vauxhall corsa CTDi) off at the garage today and i just checked my MOT history on the government website and i was pretty sad to see the following advisories below: • Offside Front Coil spring corroded (5.3.1 (b) (i))
I look after and service my own cars so have an almost perfect MOT history year after year.
Just wondering if anyone uses the MOT service check on the GOV website, seems a good idea so you can check what advisories are on the latest MOT.
